Balcony Intervention

Balconing

 

One of my interests is investigating the evolution of the perception we have of tourism through the historical and the visual. My projects rethink the archive, the postcard and the art deriva. Lately I look for new discourses in the details and frames that generate other stories and visual relationships between the postcards I find in the archive. On this occasion I wanted to highlight the balconies of the hotels and tourists who looked out leaned out during the 60s and 70s to watch to look at the sea. Now tourism not only regards the sea from the hotels but also observes us from windows and balconies of private houses in the centre of the city. Now, they no longer only watch from their balconies ....
